Oneudomsuk, the community mall in Udomsuk, has transformed an area of happiness under the name Suan Suk San to cater to the lifestyles of urban dwellers by providing a multipurpose area for passing time and providing a sense of calm and relaxation. The recreational space is also intended to provide retailers with the opportunity to grow their business by leveraging on the additional green space to draw more traffic and improve accommodations for visitors.

Suan Suk San under the Oneudomsuk project had been developed from the idea of expanding an area of happiness for people in the communities and visitors of Udomsuk. Due to the project’s close proximity to the Sukhumvit Road and the Udomsuk BTS station, Suan Suk San also plays a productive role in expanding the space within the project to help minimise the density of the crowd within Oneudomsuk and in turn comply with the emerging social norms of the ‘New Normal’ concept.

The project implemented a policy to reduce the density of the crowd as demands for more space begin to rise as a result of the emerging New Normal trend. Oneudomsuk normally generates high daily foot traffic; therefore the project is placing a significant importance on creating a multi-purpose common area where people can enjoy themselves. In addition to the shaded area, Suan Suk San is home to luscious green trees that are welcoming people from all walks of life to come relax and subsequently transform Oneudomsuk into the new landmark that is purposeful for visitors and tenants as well as raising the quality of life and sustainability for people within Udomsuk community.

The concept behind Suan Suk San is to reflect the diversity of the community with a play on multi-coloured strokes and circular ceilings to portray the different paths people take to end up in Suan Suk San. In the future, there are plans for the area to evolve into a space dedicated to host activities under new normal way of life in an effort to increase engagement and tighten relationships which will subsequently develop the community and elevate the quality of life in the long run.

Suan Suk San is located in Oneudomsuk, the centre for shopping, retail, fitness, Pilates, dental clinics and a vast array of restaurants in Udomsuk. The project is located by the side of Sukhumvit road in Soi Udomsuk, conveniently by Udomsuk BTS station which is not far from the heart of the city and only 10 minutes away from the Chalerm Mahanakorn Motorway and the Burapha Withi Expressway.
